10 GREAT WAYS TO TEACH KIDS COMPASSION FOR OTHERS

A post was recently brought to my attention that is titled 10 Great ways to teach kids compassion.  While there are far more than 10 ways, this list is a start and thought it was worth sharing with my readers.  The first way listed is:

1. Volunteer at a Retirement Home – While nursing homes and convalescent care homes can be a little frightening for young children, retirement homes with more active elderly occupants can provide great opportunities for volunteering, which can help your child understand the value of helping those that have a difficult time doing some things themselves.

  3. Before reading this post I had read your pr statement which implies that those who only desire advertisement can submit the details and if you so desire then perhaps you will work with them. I find it commendable that you chose the advertise for a worthy company as well posting the ways to teach children compassion. Bravo! Keep up the good work!

  4. I have my kids write a thankful list or do some sort of "why I am thankful" project around Thanksgiving. Also, once a year I have them save some money to buy canned goods to donate.
