Pirate Costumes make little ones super cute for Trick or Treating which is why I was glad I got to review Lil' Pirate Cutie Toddler / Child Costume, a very cute little girl's pirate costume.
This costume comes with the dress, matching belt, and matching headband. I got the size 2/4 for one of my daughters, the one who will be 21 months in October, and currently wears a size 18/24 month in clothing.
When I tried the dress on her, she grinned from ear to ear and started playing with the skirt portion of the dress. The material is soft to the touch and isn't all itchy like some costume materials are. The dress fits her nicely, partly because the neckline is elastic and seems to form to her body size, without leaving a mark from being too tight. The skirt part of the dress has a red lace underskirt that not only enhances the look of the dress it allows the dress to have a little more body or poofiness.
When it is on her it comes to her mid calf in length, of course an older girl would have a shorter length and a younger girl would have a longer length. The sleeves look like 3/4 length sleeves, which is nice if you Trick or Treat in a cooler area. The trim of both the headband and the dress have red glitter around the skulls.
The torso of the costume has gold trim and the belt features a golden skull on the middle.
The seams are well constructed so even the roughest child shouldn't rip the costume while trick or treating. There are accessories that one could buy to go with this costume for a small extra charge. This costume would look good with black, gold, or red dressy shoes. I think that this costume should be paired with black or red stockings and can or cannot have little skulls on them. What's even better about this costume is that it's great for the girly girl as well as the tomboy.
This costume costs $19.99 and is available at BuyCostumes.com. This costume is definitely worth the price. They have fast delivery and an awesome return policy.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
